Name
Higher Ambitions – How America Plans for Post-Secondary Education
Date & Time
Wednesday, March 17, 2021, 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Description

A new study from Sallie Mae, Higher Ambitions surveys high school students and parents about students’ plans for after they graduate high school, and examines the value students and their families place on higher education, how they are preparing for post-secondary education if they plan to attend, and how they expect to pay for this post-secondary education. Primary data collection took place in January and an adjunct survey was in field in April to gauge how COVID-19 might be affecting students’ plans. Despite concerns about the pandemic, a similar portion of high school juniors and seniors as in January—80%— plan to pursue higher education.
